Community Guidelines
The Local Harvest Guide map grows because people like you add the places they know. A few simple guidelines keep it trustworthy and genuinely useful for everyone.
A community of mutual benefit
This map is built by the people who use it. Every place added helps a neighbour find fresh, local, seasonal food, and helps local growers and small producers reach the people nearby. Add places in that spirit: things you would happily recommend to a friend.
What to add
Real, publicly accessible local-food spots: farm shops, farmers' markets, self-harvest gardens, food forests, produce vending machines, and roadside farm stands. Give an accurate name, a findable address, the right type, and place the map pin as precisely as you can.
What not to add
No spam, advertising, or self-promotion unrelated to local food. No duplicate entries, fake or joke locations, or places that do not actually exist. Keep notes factual and respectful.
Keep it accurate and kind
Double-check the address and the pin before you submit, a misplaced pin sends people to the wrong door. Treat producers, their property, and other community members with respect.
Moderation
Submissions appear on the map straight away so the community stays useful and up to date. Entries that break these guidelines may be hidden or removed. Repeated abuse may be blocked.
Thank you for helping the community eat a little more local. 🌱
